In this position you will:

1. Receiving Deliveries

• Accept and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality (e.g. coffee, baked goods, packaging).
• Cross-check invoices and packing slips with actual items received.
• Report missing or damaged items immediately to management.

1. Stocking and Organization

• Properly store food and supply items in designated areas (e.g. refrigerators, freezers, dry storage).
• Rotate stock using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method to minimize waste.
• Keep storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.

1. Food Safety & Cleanliness

• Handle perishable goods with care to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines during receiving and storage.
• Maintain clean and sanitized receiving and storage zones.

1. Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with store management and kitchen staff to ensure timely restocking.
• Communicate clearly about delivery schedules, shortages, or special items.
• Assist other team members when necessary during busy periods.

1. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and any discrepancies.
• Notify suppliers and managers of any issues promptly.
• Help with inventory counts and tracking as needed.

1. Efficiency & Timeliness

• Ensure deliveries are handled quickly to reduce disruption to operations.
• Be punctual and ready to receive early morning or scheduled deliveries.

Physical Demands:

• Walking and standing for long periods of time
• Is able to lift and carry up to 20 kg / 45 lbs
• Operate large and heavy equipment
• Receive large deliveries up to thrice weekly
• Transition between cold (e.g. freezer) and hot (e.g. oven)
