Job Title: Fundraising Database Assistant
Reporting to: Senior Manager, Data and Donor Services
Location: 191 New Toronto Street, Toronto, ON M8V 2E7
Term of Contract: Full-Time Contract for 8 weeks, 35 hours per week; the start date will be in June 2025; On-Site
Wage Rate: $18.75 per hour
To be eligible, participants must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
- International students are not eligible participants. As the objective of the CSJ program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market, the temporary nature of an international student's time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market.
Responsibilities
- Help donor stewardship call and clarify donor information.
- Support gift administrator with non-direct mail data entry.
- Provide additional support to the Donation Processing/Donor Relation Team as required.
- Assist various database clean-up projects.
- Assist with routine data maintenance and maintaining overall database integrity.
- Provide additional support to the Donor Processing/Relation Team as required.
- Enter data into the CRM database.
- Always maintain Health and Safety guidelines and DBFB policies.
- Additional responsibilities related to these areas as required.
- Excellent attention to detail, and high level of accuracy.
- Raiser's Edge experience is preferred.
- Experience with any other Constituent Management System (CRM) is an asset.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to use Excel functions as an asset.
- Preferably some fundraising, business, or communications-related courses.
- Able to work with sensitive, confidential material. Reliable, organized, responsible and independent.
- Working knowledge of general business/clerical skills.
- Proficient problem-solving skills, prioritizing and managing conflicting needs and deadlines.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to challenging situations.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
