Position Summary:

Were looking for an MLOps engineer that has worked supporting AI solutions in production or a Data Engineer with industry experience supporting AI teams. As an engineer working on the MLOps team, you will be working to create a platform supporting the deployment of a form of AI enhanced aerial surveillance. This is your opportunity to apply your data and/or MLOps engineering and software development experience to build out a platform that supports data ingestion, model training, and model deployment. Additionally, this is your opportunity to work with and support data and machine learning engineers, data scientists and software engineers as we deploy deep learning models to edge computing devices.

Qualifications:

• Background in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or strong experience working as a software developer)
• Excellent knowledge of Python
• 3+ years of experience supporting deep learning platforms either as a Data Engineer or an MLOps Engineer
• Experience with a variety of databases including SQL and NoSQL
• Experience with data versioning and model versioning tools such as DVC and MLflow
• Experience with data contracts and data quality control
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Prefect or Airflow
• Experience in architecting, building, testing, and deploying production-ready ML workflows, ideally to support computer vision pipelines
• Experience with Docker
• Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills
• Nice to have qualifications:
  • Experience with building applications for deployment on Kubernetes
  • Experience building internal UI tools to support the facilitation of workflows

Requirements:

TerraSense works in the aerospace and defense sectors. As a result, it is necessary to attain a High Level Security Clearance. To do so, you will need to answer the following questions:

• Are you a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada?
• Have you lived in Canada for the last 10 years?
• During the last 10 years, have you travelled outside Canada for more than 6 consecutive months at a given time?

Compensation:

• $119,000.00 - $141,000.00
• 5 weeks flexible paid vacation, PLUS an additional 1 week paid vacation during the Christmas holiday season. A total of 6 weeks paid vacation!
