Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
About the Client:
Our client, a leading General Contractor specializing in ICI (Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional) construction projects, is actively seeking a Site Superintendent to join their team. They are known for their high-quality execution of complex projects across Ontario, including healthcare, commercial, and institutional builds. With a growing pipeline of exciting new projects, they need a skilled Site Superintendent to oversee day-to-day site operations across multiple locations.
Role Overview:
As a Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing multiple ICI construction projects throughout Ontario. You will ensure each project progresses safely, on schedule, and within budget. The role will require some travel between sites across Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICI construction, with proven leadership experience, and the ability to drive successful project delivery in collaboration with both internal and external teams.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day site operations for multiple ICI construction projects across Ontario.
• Oversee and manage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
• Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, safety records, and progress reports.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any issues or concerns.
• Troubleshoot on-site challenges and implement solutions to minimize disruptions to the project schedule.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and building code regulations.
• Oversee the efficient use of materials and equipment on-site to minimize waste and optimize performance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent on ICI construction projects.
• Experience overseeing healthcare, commercial, or institutional projects is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple sites and projects simultaneously, often requiring travel.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively on-site.
• Experience using construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) is an asset.
• A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
