What is Pre-press?
- Pre-Press is the process of review, check the electronic files that are received from the clients, communicates with the clients if there any issues with the files and obtain all the requirements, then to next step of generating electronic/media proofs.
- Upon proof approval, send the print files to the press machine, prepare installation/printing reference sheets.
- In-depth knowledge of Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
- Have an aptitude for creating mock-ups and ‘mechanicals' for signage installations.
- Experience working in a wide-format production environment.
- A good understanding of colour theory and the ability to edit colours within a digital environment to ensure colour accuracy is maintained throughout the production process.
- Fluency in English (oral & written).
- Observant & quick learner.
- Clear communicator.
- Positive, collaborative attitude.
- Strong work ethic to work independently.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
