Job Description

We are seeking dynamic, enthusiastic individuals to lead public tours of Scotiabank Arena. As a Scotiabank Arena Tour Guide, you will play a crucial role in providing informative, engaging, and memorable tours for our guests. You will lead visitors through various areas of the arena, sharing fascinating stories about the venue's history, architecture, and the events that take place. Your goal is to enhance the visitor experience by delivering high-quality tours that highlight the unique features of the arena.

Position Type: Part-Time

  • Conduct Venue Tours: Lead engaging and informative tours of Scotiabank Arena, including back-of-house areas, luxury suites, dressing rooms, and other key locations.
  • Share Knowledge: Thoroughly review and study provided materials to acquire in-depth knowledge of the arena's history, events, and notable moments, ensuring accurate and engaging storytelling during tours.
  • Engage Visitors: Create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests, responding to questions and interacting with diverse groups of people.
  • Maintain Standards: Ensure that all tours adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, and that the arena is kept clean and presentable for guests.
  • Coordinate with Team: Work closely with other tour guides and staff to ensure smooth operations and coordination of tour schedules.
  • Promote Services: Inform guests about additional services, merchandise, and upcoming events.
  • Adapt to Feedback: Adjust tours based on guest feedback and provide suggestions for improving the tour experience.
  • Fan Engagement: Inform fans around the venue about the Tours Program to engage them in purchasing tickets.
Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a tour guide or hospitality position.
  • Strong knowledge of Scotiabank Arena, Toronto's sports and entertainment history, and general venue operations is a plus. Training will be provided.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and entertain diverse audiences.
  • A genuine passion for sports and entertainment, with an eagerness to share this enthusiasm with others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
