A well-established construction firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Crew Leader to oversee on-site operations across a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising crew members, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining site organization and safety protocols.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership: Supervise and guide construction crews on-site, fostering a respectful, productive, and safety-conscious work environment.
Project Execution: Interpret and implement construction plans and drawings across a range of building types including residential homes, commercial structures, and industrial facilities.
Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections and ensure that all work complies with established quality standards. Promptly address and correct any deficiencies.
Safety Oversight: Enforce workplace health and safety procedures, conduct daily site assessments, and promote a proactive safety culture.
Material Management: Organize deliveries, manage materials efficiently, and minimize waste across job sites.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to support smooth project execution.
Crew Development: Provide mentorship and skill-building opportunities to junior crew members, supporting team development and consistent workmanship.
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in the construction industry, with hands-on experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial construction. At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of construction drawings and plans; proficient in areas such as framing, concrete, finishing work, and infrastructure installation.
Leadership Abilities: Proven ability to lead and motivate crews, manage project timelines, and maintain high morale and accountability on site.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with crew members and project stakeholders.
Physical Requirements: Able to perform physical labor including lifting heavy materials, working at heights, and working in various weather conditions.
Transportation: Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from various job sites in Windsor-Essex County.
