Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Blaster Coater to join our Valued Clients team at Fort McMurray. This is a contract position for a duration of six weeks, with an anticipated start date around the end of June. No travel allowance or living out allowance (LOA) is provided. Candidates must supply their own accommodations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces by sandblasting or abrasive blasting.
Apply industrial coatings to a variety of surfaces following specifications.
Perform visual inspections for quality control.
Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
Follow all safety procedures and site protocols.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in blasting and coating.
Familiarity with industrial painting tools and safety procedures.
Valid safety certifications as required by the site (e.g., CSO or BSO).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working on industrial or oilsands sites.
Additional safety training such as Fall Protection or Confined Space.
Experience with different coating materials and application methods.
Work Environment:
Outdoor and industrial site conditions with exposure to dust, noise, and variable weather.
Use of PPE is mandatory, including respiratory protection during blasting activities.
Work may involve standing, climbing, and lifting heavy equipment.
Fast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
