Supreme Steel is currently looking for a motivated and highly efficient individual who knows steel to join our team in the full-time permanent position of Project Manager at our office in Saskatoon SK. This is an office-based position that could have flexible hybrid work options considered after training is complete.

Having a solid background in technical construction or steel fabrication project management including project controls, contract management and the steel project life cycle, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Must know steel. A minimum of 5-10 years technical experience in the steel manufacturing or construction industries within Western Canada is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have a PMP Designation along with related Construction Management or Project Management degrees/designations;
  • Exceptional computer skills; able to master various scheduling and project management software, including full proficiency in Excel;
  • Solves problems and contributes new ideas that improve quality and efficiency;
  • Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to safety procedures;

A conduit of information, the Project Manager will act as the main client facing contacts representing Supreme Steel. This role requires a well-organized, technologically competent individual who is accountable for the successful execution of the contract (bid margins, risk mitigation, etc). In addition, the Project Manager is an expert in steel fabrication and construction Project Management including project controls, estimating, contract management and the steel project life cycle.

This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Client relationships including ensuring contractual obligations of both Supreme Steel and its Client are met;
  • Expert communication and coordination to ensure project stakeholders are in lock step regarding project schedule, the price to perform the work, the quality of the products and any changes thereto;
  • Contract management including Notice and Change Order management;
  • Growing scope and winning new work on current or other projects;
