Position Overview:
We're seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bike & General Assembly Associate who is responsible for assembling bicycles and various products. This position will support our existing bike builder and general assembly team to help meet growing customer demand. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has mechanical aptitude, and is eager to learn. Prior experience with bicycles is an asset, but not required—mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are key. Training and guidance will be provided by a qualified bike technician. This role requires physical ability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. You'll also need to be flexible with your work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble new bicycles and general merchandise to safety and quality standards.
- Perform basic bike checks and adjustments (e.g., brakes, tires, handlebars).
- Work with store team members to prioritize daily assembly needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized assembly workspace.
- Assist with unloading and organizing products as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team leaders regarding timelines and product issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
- Experience with bikes is preferred
- Willingness to learn and take guidance from experienced technicians
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience assembling bikes or other products is an asset
- Reliable and self-motivated, able to work independently
