Job Description & Responsibilities:

We are currently seekingan Administrative Assistantto join ourCorporateteam inWindsor. This is afull-time permanentposition. The right candidate for this role would be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision and has relevant work experience.

General Duties

  • Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner
  • Welcome visitors in a warm and friendly manner, and answer any questions visitors have
  • Maintain the reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times
  • Operate standard office equipment regularly, including a fax machine, a copy machine, and a computer
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of visitor requests and calls received
  • Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed
  • Maintain the general office filing system

Payroll and Accounting Duties

  • Provides support to the payroll department, assisting in weekly payroll administration
  • Responds to payroll questions and inquiries from staff and management promptly and adheres to company privacy requirements.
  • Provides vacation coverage and acts as backup support to the payroll coordinator.
  • Responsible for various activities to support the year-end process and reporting

Skills &Education:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in an office environment
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in administrative or business studies is required
  • Experience administering and processing payroll is considered an asset
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
  • Construction Industry experience would be an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people
