Corporate Paralegal
Base Salary: $90,000 $110,000 (Compensation based on skills and experience)
Location: Vancouver
Our client is seeking a strong, experienced Corporate Paralegal to join their team and support a growing client base. The ideal candidate will have practical training and experience from a busy corporate practice at a business law firm and have graduated from a recognized legal assistant or paralegal program (equivalencies will be considered).
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and filing legal documents for corporate transactions such as amalgamations, continuances, incorporations, amendments, dissolutions, revivals, reorganizations, extra-provincial registrations, and more.
- Attending to online filings with BC Corporate Registries and Corporations Canada.
- Drafting resolutions, share-related documentation, and customized transactional documents.
- Conducting minute book reviews and addressing deficiencies.
- Performing and analyzing corporate searches.
- Managing inquiries from lawyers and clients while handling day-to-day corporate matters.
- Maintaining and updating corporate records and minute books, ensuring compliance with legislation.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized legal assistant/paralegal diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a corporate paralegal role.
- Proficiency in ALF or similar corporate databases.
- Advanced knowledge of British Columbia and Federal corporate legislation.
- Strong drafting skills for transactional documents.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills to meet multiple deadlines.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management systems.
- Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills.
- Client-focused with a commitment to exceptional service.
