Job Posting – Centrifuge Technician
Join Our Team as a Centrifuge Technician – Keep Process Equipment Running Smoothly

About Us
Centrifuges Unlimited Inc. is Canada's premier provider of centrifuge and process equipment services. From installation and start-up to preventive maintenance and emergency repairs, our technical experts serve a wide array of industries—including food & beverage, dairy, oil & gas, mining, and wastewater treatment. Our commitment to reliability, integrity, and personalized service has made us a trusted partner nationwide.

What You'll Do

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on centrifuges, gearboxes, pumps, and associated rotating equipment in our shop and at customer sites (approximately 50/50 split).

  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures using vibration analysis, precision measurement tools, and technical manuals.

  • Conduct on-site installations, start-ups, and emergency breakdown repairs; ensure equipment meets all operational specifications.

  • Generate detailed service reports in the company CMMS, documenting work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future reliability improvements.

  • Communicate professionally with clients—explain technical findings, provide cost estimates, and manage project timelines to exceed customer expectations.

  • Adhere to strict safety protocols at all times, including lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry procedures, and proper PPE usage.

What You Bring

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; Millwright apprenticeship or related trade certification is preferred.

  • 2 years of mechanical maintenance or rotating equipment service experience—centrifuge or industrial machinery background is an asset.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read and interpret service manuals, mechanical drawings, and use precision measuring tools.

  • Valid Class G driver's license and willingness to travel regionally (Ontario, Quebec, Eastern Provinces) with occasional overnight stays.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer‐focused attitude and professional demeanor.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, climb, and bend for extended durations in both shop and field environments.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adept at problem‐solving under tight deadlines.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Competitive hourly wage starting at $30.00 per hour (plus overtime eligibility), with clear progression paths.

  • Comprehensive benefits package: dental, extended health, vision, and disability coverage.

  • RRSP matching program after six months of service.

  • Company-provided service vehicles and fuel cards for all field assignments.

  • A collaborative team environment where learning and mentorship are encouraged—opportunities for trade-up certifications (Millwright, Welding, Vibration Analysis).

  • Work on diverse projects across multiple industries—no two days are the same.

  • Ongoing training and professional development support to enhance your technical skill set.

Location & Schedule

  • Home Base: Waterloo, ON (relocate assistance may be available for the right candidate).

  • Travel: Up to 50% regional travel throughout ON, QC, and Eastern Provinces (all lodging, meals, and expenses covered).

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; occasional weekends and overtime as required for emergency repairs.
