Inside Sales Representative

We work with over 1,500 brokerages with flexible, competitive products adapted to the needs of insureds, with a growing share of online distribution.

Part of the APRIL Group with 2,800 employees worldwide, APRIL Canada currently employs 100 people in 3 offices (Toronto, Calgary and Brossard).

We are currently looking for an INSIDE BUSINESS DEVELOPER for our Ontario brokers-partners, based in our office in Toronto (, to reinforce our Business development team.

What we expect from you for this position:
As an Inside Business Developer, you will play a key role in supporting and driving the performance of our broker network, as well as coordinating field activities for the Business Development team. Your responsibilities will include the following:

1. Broker network follow-up and engagement

  • Regularly contact partner brokers to monitor the progress of their cases and activity.
  • Re-engage inactive or underperforming brokers through phone calls and email.
  • Identify blockers or opportunities and report relevant insights to the Business Development team.


2. Meeting coordination for field Business Developers

  • Qualify leads and opportunities via phone or email.
  • Schedule in-person or virtual meetings for Business Developers.
  • Handle logistical coordination (calendar invitations, confirmations, pre-meeting briefings, etc.).


3. Contribute to commercial performance

  • Accurately update and maintain CRM records (interactions, meetings, feedback).
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to broker activity.
  • Participate in ongoing improvement of sales processes and tools.

Profile & Skills

Key Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly over the phone.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Prior experience in inside sales, lead generation, or partner follow-up is a plus.

Personal Attributes:

  • Customer- and team-oriented mindset.
  • Energetic, persistent, and autonomous.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

You should live in the Toronto area, and be willing to come to our Toronto office (200 Consumers Rd - M2J 4R4) at least twice a week in order to connect with our operation team.
