A fast-growing, Vaughan-based food company, operating multiple brands across retail, foodservice, and manufacturing throughout the USA and Canada, is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join the team.
Role Overview:
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of food safety, quality control, regulatory compliance, and new product development, along with a solid background in FDA, GMP, HACCP, SQF, allergen control, pest management, and food microbiology.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Lead a dedicated QA team in a growing, innovative food manufacturing environment.
- Opportunity to drive continuous improvement and product innovation.
- Develop and implement robust food safety and quality assurance programs aligned with GFSI and regulatory standards.
- Manage product certifications and ensure all outputs comply with food safety, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.
- Develop and enforce QA policies, procedures, and training programs across plant operations.
- Investigate and resolve product complaints, maintaining detailed records.
- Communicate quality standards and issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Inspect incoming shipments and coordinate with accounting for discrepancies.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing, food safety, and sanitation practices.
