SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER
Specializing in Luxury Kitchens, Millwork, Closets & Interiors
Location: Vancouver, BC
Type: Full-time, In-Person
Salary: $80,000–$95,000 (Base Salary, Commensurate with Experience)
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a luxury interior design and millwork firm known for their exceptional craftsmanship and sophisticated design solutions across kitchens, closets, bathroom vanities, and bespoke furniture. With the launch of their new 5,000 sq. ft. flagship showroom in Vancouver, they are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead design initiatives, mentor junior team members, and support sales and client engagement within the high-end residential and A&D community.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned designer with a passion for contemporary interiors, a strategic mindset, and the ability to bridge design excellence with client satisfaction and studio growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the design and delivery of high-end kitchen, closet, and custom interior projects, ensuring creativity, technical accuracy, and premium finishes.
  • Mentor and oversee junior designers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance design culture.
  • Conduct client consultations and design presentations, guiding clients through layout development, materials selection, and product specification.
  • Prepare and review detailed drawings, cabinetry shop drawings, and technical documentation in alignment with project and manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure flawless project execution and delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of sales proposals, pricing packages, and design documentation to support project conversion and revenue goals.
  • Play an active role in curating showroom displays, coordinating materials, and ensuring the space reflects evolving design trends and client expectations.
  • Represent the brand professionally within the A&D community, including client events, showroom functions, and industry networking opportunities.
  • Work with modular European systems and proprietary partner platforms for planning and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Interior Design, with a focus on high-end residential, cabinetry, or millwork projects.
  • Background in a design studio or showroom setting, with experience in kitchen and closet design highly preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in Interior Design, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and relevant drafting/rendering software.
  • Experience with premium cabinetry systems and modular furniture a strong asset.
  • Confident and polished communicator with excellent presentation and client management skills.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and team leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-value projects in a fast-paced, design-led environment.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Base salary of $80,000–$95,000, based on experience and qualifications.
