We are currently looking to hire a temporary full-time Purchaser to our Grande Prairie Head Office until August 2026.
As the Purchaser, you are responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service by recommending and supplying customers with required supplies and products
- Sourcing, pricing, and procuring freight from various vendors to ensure Rentco is receiving the best price and quality on products
- Communicating and maintaining relationships with vendors and staff
- Inspecting received shipments to ensure the invoice matches received quantities and that no product was damaged during shipment
- Entering received products into Point of Rental and putting away in proper bin locations
- Labeling product, stocking shelves, and monitoring inventory levels
- Ensuring accurate levels of inventory by maintaining inventory mins and maxes
- Contacting suppliers to resolve pricing, quality, delivery, or invoicing problems
- Working on the front counter or in Parts when required
You have the following education, training, and skills:
- Journeyman Parts Technician (or equivalent demonstrated experience) with previous experience with purchasing
- Intermediate computer skills
- Excellent organization, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
