THE OPPORTUNITYOur project managers are the cornerstone of our company and are committed to outstanding client service. In this senior role you will be responsible for managing the on-time and on-budget delivery of projects, providing mentorship to our project managers and project coordinators, and spearheading regional business development. Our clients include regional and multi-national O&G and mining companies, hydro and power companies, government agencies, and First Nations communities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Planning, organizing, and managing a diverse array of projects, people, and tasks.
- Successfully managing project delivery through cost-efficient and timely completion of deliverables.
- Maintaining, establishing, and developing client relationships that facilitate the successful delivery of projects and future opportunities.
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with other consultants, construction contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Supporting corporate business development initiatives, including compiling and reporting on regional business development opportunities.
- Leading and/or helping to support RFP responses coming through our Edmonton office.
- Maintaining and supporting Triton's industrywide reputation as a leader in the environmental consulting industry.
- Providing mentorship and training for our junior staff and for the environmental professional team.
- Maintaining and improving upon Triton and client safety standards.
- Promoting and maintaining a positive work environment through a culture of teamwork and cooperation within the office, region, and between other areas of the organization.
- Degree or diploma in environmental sciences (e.g., environmental science, biology, agrology, ecology, hydrogeology)
- Relevant environmental professional designation e.g. P.Bio, P.Ag, A.Ag.(T), P.Geo etc
- Minimum 8-15 years of environmental consulting expertise)
- Having experience working within the environmental industry sector is preferred.
- Extensive experience with Environmental Terrestrial, Aquatic, Water Quality or Ecology Projects in the support of Oil & Gas, Mining, Transportation, Municipal Infrastructure, Construction, Industrial or similar projects
- Knowledge of and experience with environmental provincial and federal environmental standards, and regulations or guidelines in Western Canada
- Demonstrated experience in project management (i.e., budgeting, project tracking, cost-accounting and scope control) and leading and supervising of project teams.
- Business development acumen (e.g., client relationships, strategic planning, proposal writing).
- A quick learner, easily adapting to new software applications, systems, and business processes.
- Effective writing skills and ability to produce meaningful reports and proposals.
- Organized and self-managed, with a collaborative working style.
- Strong problem solver able to address challenges with effective solutions that improve systems and/or relationships, and with strong strategic thinking skills.
- Accreditation or eligibility for accreditation with a professional governing body and having a professional designation is preferred.
