Responsibilities:

As the Director of Sales at Queens Harbour, you will be instrumental in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue and increase market share. Your role will focus on building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service standards to maintain and elevate Queens Harbour's reputation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to increase venue bookings for events, private dining, and corporate functions. Expand our reach into various markets, including local businesses, event planners, and tourism partners.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure repeat business and referrals. Serve as the primary point of contact for all sales and event-related inquiries.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and operating team to create promotional materials and campaigns that support sales efforts. Coordinate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of events and functions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor sales performance against targets, providing regular reports to senior management. Utilize data to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role, preferably in the hospitality, events, or related industry.
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset, able to identify and capitalize on opportunities to drive revenue and growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of clients and partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies, meet targets, and manage sales cycles.
  • A team player with outstanding organizational skills, capable of working under pressure and managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven track record of driving high-volume event sales within the Toronto market.

Expected start date: On or around June 2025

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Reports to: Director of Operations

Compensation Plan:

Total Compensation Package: $90,000–$130,000, which includes base pay and estimated annual commissions based on sales performance.

The wide compensation range reflects variability in individual sales results. Candidates with stronger experience—particularly within the Toronto market—are positioned to generate higher sales volume and, in turn, earn higher commissions. Proven local networks and a track record of success in the region will directly influence earning potential.
