As the face of our station at remote events and promotional activations, you'll play a key role in strengthening brand visibility and ensuring a vibrant presence at client-facing events. This casual, part-time opportunity is ideal for students, particularly those from SAIT or NAIT media, broadcast, and marketing programs, who want hands-on experience in a dynamic media environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up, host, tear down, and coordinate on-site promotional events, concerts, community activations, and movie premieres.
  • Represent X92.9 FM at remotes, working directly with clients and event attendees.
  • Operate the on-air board during live broadcasts, ensuring smooth execution and timely commercial and production playbacks.
  • Follow the Street Team Manual and station protocols.
  • Assist the Promotions Director with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • A love for alternative music and a strong understanding of the X92.9 brand.
  • Friendly and fearless in public, with a go-getter attitude.
  • Problem solver and fast thinker, especially in live-event scenarios.
  • Experience with board operations (school-based experience counts).
  • Familiarity with Wide Orbit or Scott automation systems is an asset.
  • Eligible for coverage under Harvard's vehicle insurance plan.

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driver's abstract (minimum 3 years of driving experience no exceptions).
  • Flexible schedule, particularly evenings and weekends.
  • Preference given to broadcast/media/marketing students from SAIT or NAIT.
