You will play a key role in enabling performance visibility, proactive alerting, and operational excellence through automation, intelligent analytics, and scalable monitoring architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain comprehensive monitoring solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Build and manage scalable, secure, and highly available monitoring architectures using tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Zabbix, or similar.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to administer and maintain the security of monitoring systems, including Dynatrace APM, vRA, vROPS, Aria Operations, Aria for Logs, Aria for Networks, SolarWinds, Micro Focus, and other enterprise monitoring systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Dynatrace and other monitoring tools within client infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of their technology stack.
  • Capture method arguments for key pieces of the application and utilize Dynatrace or other monitoring platforms to provide insights into application performance, end-user experience, and infrastructure health.
  • Customize Dynatrace or other platform dashboards and alerts to meet specific business requirements and integrate with other monitoring and analytics tools.
  • Implement and maintain alerting, reporting, dashboarding, and capacity planning strategies to support operational excellence.
  • Ensure systems comply with organizational security and compliance standards.
  • Document infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, Prometheus, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or similar).
  • 3+ years of experience implementing monitoring solutions across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and integration.
  • Strong experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) to streamline monitoring deployments and configurations.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure components including servers, networks, containers, and cloud services, and how to monitor them effectively.
  • Experience with log aggregation and analysis tools (e.g., ELK stack, Splunk, Fluentd, or similar).
  • Familiarity with container and microservices monitoring (Docker, Kubernetes, service meshes) is a strong plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant monitoring or observability certifications (e.g., Dynatrace Associate/Professional, Splunk Core Certified User/Power User, Prometheus/Grafana training).
  • Cloud certifications with a focus on monitoring and operations (e.g., AWS CloudWatch-focused tracks, Azure Monitor competencies).
  • Experience integrating monitoring solutions into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Exposure to monitoring and logging within the context of security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Experience in air-gapped environments.
