Were looking for a hands-on Landscape Mechanic who thrives on order, precision, and helping crews work more efficiently. This is more than a mechanical role its about ownership, systems, and support.

About the Role

Youll be responsible for maintaining tools, equipment, and vehicles while keeping the shop and yard running with military-level order. From small engine repairs to seasonal prep, tool tracking, and staging materials for the crews, your work helps ensure our job sites start on time and run smoothly.

What Youll Be Doing

Equipment Maintenance

• Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment
• Track and repair Red Tagged items quickly and efficiently
• Maintain accurate service logs, reports, and inventory of parts and supplies
• Handle small engine work: oil changes, blade sharpening, filter swaps
• Manage small tools: organize, budget, label, repair, and replace as needed
• Track and maintain common materials (e.g. sand, seed, masonry, edging, drainage supplies)
• Prepare equipment for seasonal use (greasing, tire swaps, snow gear, etc.)

Facility Organization

• Keep the yard, Sea Cans, outbuildings, and shop clean, organized, and clutter-free
• Use 5S principles to maintain clearly labeled inventory, bulk materials, and tool systems
• Oversee parking, vehicle layout, and gravel grading
• Track and maintain hardscape materials (flagstone, pavers) and skidded products
• Monitor and maintain fuel storage, fencing, lighting, and overall yard cleanliness
• Log tool usage and support inventory control systems

Crew Support

• Stage materials and tools for crews daily set aside, tagged, and ready
• Drive trucks and operate equipment to support field needs and deliveries
• Help with general labour or on-site crew work when needed
• Keep crew zones, delivery areas, and tool staging organized and efficient

What You Bring

• Solid mechanical skills and experience with trucks, trailers, and landscaping tools
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to take ownership of the shop, yard, and tool systems
• Confidence using logbooks, inspection reports, and tech tools
• Clear communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
• Self-motivation, initiative, and a drive for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Valid drivers license and clean abstract
• Mechanical aptitude and small engine repair experience
• Ability to manage inventory and use technology effectively
• Comfortable lifting, driving, and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
