Join a leading, full-service, multi-discipline engineering firm with over 30 years of proven excellence in commercial, industrial, and residential development design. With a strong presence in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, we're recognized for delivering innovative, cost-effective, and comprehensive engineering solutions to a diverse client base.

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Technologist to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of projects-including residential, commercial, office, institutional, and light industrial developments-while mentoring junior staff and ensuring technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the engineer-of-record for small to medium-sized projects in BC.

  • Design electrical systems independently, including lighting, lighting controls, power distribution, data layouts, and life safety systems.

  • Perform electrical calculations (e.g., power loads, lighting levels, power density, fault currents, and equipment sizing).

  • Produce detailed drawings suitable for building permits, tendering, and construction.

  • Manage project timelines and budgets; provide updates to Team Leads as needed.

  • Conduct field reviews, evaluate shop drawings, and issue site instructions and change orders.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and utility providers to ensure integrated project delivery.

  • Attend client meetings and maintain strong, professional relationships.

  • Mentor junior engineers (EITs) and technologists.

  • Stay current with industry trends and contribute to improving quality standards and internal processes.

  • Support business development efforts and the expansion of services across provinces.

  • Coordinate electrical inspections and prepare detailed technical reports.

  • Report to Electrical Team Leads in BC and Alberta.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology.

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience.

  • P.Eng. designation preferred (not mandatory).

  • Strong background in electrical design and client relationship management.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and relevant Building Codes.

  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-are essential.

  • Experience with AutoCAD required; proficiency in Revit is a significant asset.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills are a plus.

  • Proficiency in lighting design software; Bluebeam Revu experience is an asset.

  • Project or construction management experience is an advantage.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Why Join Us?
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package

  • Banked overtime and flexible work-life balance

  • Professional development and career growth opportunities

  • A supportive, collaborative, and innovative team culture
