Contract Administrator

Location: Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta
Firm Type: Multidisciplinary Architecture Firm

Overview:
Our client is a respected architectural firm with a broad portfolio of projects across Alberta. They are currently seeking a Contract Administrator to join their team on upcoming and ongoing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented architectural professional with a strong understanding of construction documentation and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer construction contracts on a variety of building types

  • Act as the liaison between design teams, consultants, and contractors during construction

  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, and site reports

  • Conduct regular site visits and prepare field review documentation

  • Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with contract documents

  • Support the resolution of construction-related issues and deficiencies

  • Ensure quality assurance and adherence to project timelines

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology

  • Minimum 58 years of relevant experience, ideally in contract administration

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and architectural detailing

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills

  • Experience with civic, healthcare, or institutional projects is an asset

  • Proficiency in project management tools and contract documentation
