Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Material Handler/ Excavator Operator picks up and delivers the in-bound material for the different departments in the yard as well as any other handling of equipment requiring the use of their machine. They also will weigh various metals as they enter or leave the yard.
Responsibilities:
- Receive metals and deposit to the designated location
- Unload trailer(s) and perform quality control inspection(s)
- Load inbound material into railcar
- Perform hardware identification tests using appropriate magnets or products
- Perform inventory of stock according to established schedule
- Record and report materials which are entering and exiting the facility
- General housekeeping
- Any other related tasks requested by the supervisor
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Class 3 license considered an asset
- Ability to work automonously
- Team-player who is motivated and ambitious
