Job Description

Fairmont Gold Supervisor

Are you reliable, engaging, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences? As a Fairmont Gold Supervisor, you will embody the spirit of outstanding service from the moment guests arrive until their departure.

At Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, our exclusive Fairmont Gold lifestyle floor offers a unique “hotel-within-a-hotel” experience. Featuring 51 newly renovated guest rooms and our exclusive Fourteenth Floor Heritage Suite Collection, Fairmont Gold provides personalized concierge services, private check-in, an exclusive lounge with daily food & beverage offerings, and elevated amenities.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the daily operations of the Fairmont Gold floor, upholding the highest service and quality standards
  • Deliver professional, friendly, and proactive guest service from arrival to departure
  • Address guest concerns promptly and collaborate with relevant teams to create memorable experiences
  • Oversee the maintenance and presentation of Fairmont Gold facilities (guest rooms, lounge, food & beverage)
  • Review reservations to ensure guest requests are fulfilled or exceeded
  • Provide exceptional concierge service with expert knowledge of local attractions and activities
  • Build and maintain strong guest relationships to foster loyalty to Fairmont Gold
  • Collaborate with Front Office to maximize revenue and uphold rate integrity through upselling
  • Follow all departmental policies, procedures, safety standards, and perform additional duties as assigned

A registered heritage property operating since 1939, the hotel symbolizes grandeur and timeless elegance. In spring 2019, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver completed a $75M, five-year multiphase revitalization project. With its prestigious address on Georgia Street, this castle is surrounded by a diverse arts community of galleries and theatres, a thriving shopping district, exhilarating nightlife and world class cuisine. Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years of food & beverage experience with a strong focus on service
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in guest services preferred
  • Serving It Right certification required
  • Proficiency with Opera or similar Property Management Systems
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and professional presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; able to lead by example
  • Knowledge of Metro Vancouver's history, attractions, and activities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Windows applications) and able to type 55+ words per minute
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and late evenings

Physical Job Requirements Include (but are not limited to):

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Occasional kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 lbs
  • Occasional climbing stairs, ramps, or ladders
