Seaside Paper Products is interested in hearing from potential candidates for our part-time Human Resources Manager position. Working three days per week, the position reports to the President in our Delta, BC office.
We are looking for a hands-on individual with a true generalist background who can provide support to all levels of the organization including:
- Develop and apply creative staffing approaches to finding new employees quickly and effectively.
- Manage the full cycle recruitment process, in partnership with the hiring manager, by developing the profile, sourcing talent, interviewing, developing selection criteria, and offer issuance.
- Complete and process documentation for events throughout the employee lifecycle including new hires, leave-of-absences, and benefits changes.
- Conduct exit interviews to identify key issues/trends and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assist with the implementation of organization-wide HR projects including strengthening of HR best practices and updating and maintaining Employee Handbook policy and procedures.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day administration of Human Resources, including attendance management, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee retention and employee benefits and group RRSP.
- Complete the payroll administration process to ensure timely and accurate submission of required documentation.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the occupational and non-occupational injury/illness claims management.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the capabilities of our Payworks HR system, assess what functionality would be suitable, and implement the use of that functionality.
- Prepare reports that include HR information according to management's requests.
- Monitor and stay current with industry trends, best practices and legislative developments in all aspects of human resources including wage market information and updates and application of Employment Standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources.
- CHRP/CPHR designation or equivalent.
- Highly skilled with MS Office.
- Adaptable and flexible to a changing environment.
- Strong knowledge of all relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.
The full annualized salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 per year. As this is a part-time role, the salary will be prorated to 60% with an adjusted range of $48,000 - $57,000. The final offer amount for this role will depend on the individual experience and skillset of the candidate. The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and expertise.
