Job description
We are in search of a Human Resources Assistant who will support our HR department handle a variety of HR administrative tasks and duties including recruitment, onboarding, time tracking, training, performance management and safety. The HR Assistant is one of the first point of contact who provides support to all employees.
Main Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Provide administrative assistance to the HR manager, including filing, data entry, preparation and distribution of HR related documents (i.e. job recommendation letters, job offers, confirmation of employment letters, etc.)
- Maintain and update employee records in Bamboo HRIS and LMN time tracking system.
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings on various platforms and websites, scheduling interviews, conducting initial resume screening and screening interviews to identify qualified candidates.
- Help facilitate the on boarding process for new hires by registering new employees in the Bamboo HRIS and LMN time tracking systems, creating the on boarding packet, conducting orientation, sending Finance required information and documents for payroll purposes.
- Serve as point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to HR manager as necessary.
- Assist employees with inquiries related to benefits and HR procedures.
- Maintain and update employee benefits records.
- Generate HR and LMN reports as needed (PSL, LOA, vacation, etc).
- Promote a positive work environment by assisting in the planning and coordination of employee events and programs.
- Send work staffing email every day and help with staffing if needed.
- Approve hours in LMN time tracking system, make corrections and send out timesheets weekly.
- Book employees for third party trainings like Fall Protection, First Aid, Boom lift, etc.
- Utilize Bamboo HRIS and HR databases to input and retrieve employee information accurately, maintain and update them.
- Use Bamboo HRIS for on boarding, hiring, performance management, training, internal communication and off boarding, maintaining the system updated.
- Create WCB reports, claim and clearance reports through WCB website
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field
- 1 year of experience in a similar position
- A combination of education and experience may apply.
- Eligible to work in Canada

Hourly Wage: $ 23 - 27
Benefits: Extended health Benefits after 3 months, DPSP after 1 year.
