About the Innu Round Table Secretariat

The Innu Round Table Secretariat is the implementation arm of the Round Table. It is the collective organization of the Mushuau Innu First Nation (MIFN), the Sheshatshiu Innu First Nation (SIFN), and the Innu Nation. It was created for coordinated administration of common priorities including capacity development, devolution of programs, and managing the tripartite process with Canada and the province of Newfoundland & Labrador.

About the Position

The IRTS is committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our staff, clients, and visitors. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented janitor to join our team and help maintain our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, trailers, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
• Empty trash cans
• Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks (e.g., lifting to 25 lbs, standing for extended periods)
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Reliable and punctual
