V&E helps entrepreneurs commercialize innovations with high business growth potential in Canada and globally by facilitating access to the customer, talent, funding, marketing and stakeholder connections required to successfully scale their business.
About the Position
Reporting to the Senior Director, Climate, the Coordinator, Climate Programs will provide support to the Climate Missions team. This role will provide logistical and administrative support for the climate missions program and core members of the delivery team as new processes are developed and implemented. The Coordinator will be primarily focused on providing support on Mission from MaRS: Better Buildings program, with some cross-functional responsibilities.
The Coordinators key responsibilities will include day-to-day administration such as invoicing, reporting and data management, meeting coordination, event and program support, and internal projects. As a key member of the team, the Coordinator will support diverse strategic projects as needed. Projects may include: supporting with the delivery of industry coalition meetings, supporting with the delivery of the Better Buildings Adoption Accelerator, providing support on ongoing strategic initiatives such as engaging MaRS community of building decarbonization/PropTech ventures and volunteer advisors, researching key issues and trends in the buildings industry, providing support on marketing and communications efforts for Missions from MaRS.
This is a 1-year contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing operations and process support for the climate missions programs, primarily Mission from MaRS: Better Buildings, as well as other missions (Public Procurement, Carbon Management, and Food & Agriculture) or climate team initiatives as needed.
- This includes coalition meetings, projects, in-person and online events, and partner/funder meetings, as well as activity tracking, and metrics compilation.
- Support knowledge management system & data administration ie: maintaining organized and consistent data across multiple projects to provide ease of access, transparency and straightforward reporting.
- Be a champion that works with different MaRS teams to coordinate operational tracking and reporting of climate program activities. (GoogleDrive, Salesforce CRM, Harvest Time Tracking, etc).
Help with the creation of reports and dashboards based on project data. - Meeting coordination and support.
- Processing invoices for program-related activities and collecting information assets to support MarCom activities.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate/Bachelors degree or relevant experience
- Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, clients, colleagues in a fast-paced business environment.
- Experience providing administrative and operational support in a fast-paced, and high-volume environment
- Strong capabilities in G-Suite as well as MS Office- particularly Excel/Google Sheets and Slides/PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and project coordination skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time-management and detail orientation to handle fast-paced environment
- Good relationship management skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Curiosity, ability to learn quickly and be proactive

- Aged between 18 and 30 years old
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals with refugee status
- Available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week (some exceptions may apply)

Salary Range: $40,000 - $51,000, extended healthcare benefits, lifestyle spending account, and paid time-off.
