Job Description

Under the direction of Research & Development manager, Analytical Chemist-R&D will be responsible for supporting the department through coordinating research activities directed toward the development of new methods and conducting validations that meet departmental goal. The position is instrumental in the development/validation of a new test method as per ICH guideline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write method validation/verification/transfer protocol& report for Assay and Impurities analysis
  • Perform method validation/routine analysis using HPLC, GC, LCMSMS or GCMSMS.
  • Review technical data, documents, and proposals as required.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues/ difficulties with methods.
  • Carry out and support OOS/OOT investigations;
  • Co-ordinate method transfers study between clients and other departments.
  • Assist SOP training for new personnel and on SOP revisions.
  • Liaison with clients as needed to maintain superior relationships.
  • Provide ongoing technical training and develops staff to enable them to perform technical tasks.
  • Support R&D manager in all aspects of business to run the department smoothly.
Qualifications
  • Minimum bachelor degree in Chemistry is required
  • LCMSMS or GCMSMS experience would be preferable
  • 5-10 years' experience working in Pharmaceuticals Laboratory
  • Experience working in a contract laboratory would be an asset
