The Alberta Jubilee Auditoria Society (“AJAS”) is a not-for-profit organization that emphasizes extraordinary patron services and fostering cultural development in both Edmonton and Calgary facilities. The Society is led by a Board of Directors with representatives from across Alberta and works with the Government of Alberta (GOA)'s Ministry of Culture and Status of Women to operate these legacy performing arts venues through front-of-house, back-of-house, marketing and community engagement services. The Society's Vision, Mission and Values are: * Vision – To be a cultural leader in enhancing Albertans' quality of life through the arts * Mission – To enrich Alberta's cultural landscape through extraordinary arts experiences * Values – Welcoming, Respect, Collaboration, Creativity & Joy JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Events and Programming Manager, the Arts and Community Engagement (ACE) Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day coordination of in person and online arts and culture programming at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. This is a full-time position, engaged for 37.5 hours per week. These hours are typically Monday - Friday, unless there is programming happening in the evenings or weekends. In this case, the hours will be arranged in collaboration with the Events and Programming Manager to meet the needs of the programming. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Community Engagement Programs * Lead the coordination of Jube School programming (5 Day, 1&2 Day, Summer Camp and special programs) both in person and online. * Responsibilities include but are not limited to creating detailed schedules, coordinating planning meetings/meet & greets, supply prep, contracting guest artists, invoicing and facilitating both in-person and virtual sessions when necessary. * Maintain clear communication with artists, teachers, and facilitators to ensure smooth operation and high-quality programming * Review applications for participation in programs, ensuring a diverse and inclusive selection process. * Work alongside the Events and Programming Manager to build a roster of arts educators and form meaningful partnerships. * Train and oversee 3-4 facilitators to maintain consistent and effective program delivery. * Regularly attend Campus Calgary/Open Minds meetings and workshops * Solicit and distribute marketing materials to teachers and schools to promote arts-related field trip opportunities. * Create social media content and design graphics to promote Jube School programs and special initiatives. * Actively promote community engagement programs and events through Teachers' Conventions, community events, and other promotional opportunities. * Assist the Events and Programming Manager with monthly reporting by providing detailed breakdowns of program participants Rotating Public Art Spaces * Provide selected artists with contracts and coordinating pick-up/drop off of their pieces. * Schedule the installation and removal of art pieces. * Coordinate the creation of all promotional materials for Rotating Public Art Spaces. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in Education, Arts Administration, or related field is preferred * Previous arts education experience (3-5 years) in a similar setting is preferred * Exceptional interpersonal skills, both written and verbal * Ability to work collaboratively with artists, educators, and community members. * Passion for the arts and working with youth, teachers and the community. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. * Familiarity with video platforms (Teams, Zoom & YouTube) * Knowledge of Canva, Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, and ability to learn new software * Familiarity with social media channels & management platforms * Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in programming and outreach * Must be willing to obtain a recent vulnerable sector check SALARY RANGE: $50,000 - 55,000.00 per year (based on experience)
