Job Title: Hotel Housekeeper

Department: Housekeeping


Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper

Job Summary:
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards (including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities)
  • Clean bathrooms thoroughly, including toilets, sinks, and showers
  • Replace linens and towels and report any damage or shortages
  • Restock minibar and room supplies where applicable
  • Report maintenance issues or lost items promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas (e.g., hallways, lifts, lobbies)
  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly
  • Assist with laundry tasks if required
  • Respect guest privacy and hotel security protocols

Requirements:

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not essential
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
