As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the relationship management of a portfolio of high-value clients, ensuring their financial and accounting needs are met with precision and care. You will act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic insights, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. This position requires a blend of strong client management skills, in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, and leadership capabilities.Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring a proactive approach to addressing their financial and accounting needs.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their business objectives and delivering solutions that exceed their expectations.
- Attend client meetings, address inquiries, and actively manage client relationships to ensure that deliverables are met or exceeded.
- Proactively market the firm's services to attract new clients and identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts.
- Analyze and interpret financial data, providing clients with insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and achieve their business goals.
- Assist in planning and preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Draft financial statements and disclosures in accordance with (GAAP) and regulatory standards.
- Provide support in the preparation of working paper files and corporate, personal, and HST tax returns, T4s, T5s, T3s, and bookkeeping tasks.
- Lead and mentor juniors staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development, ensuring the delivery of high-quality client service.
- Actively participate in training and development initiatives, creating an environment that encourages learning and continuous improvement within the team.
- Oversee the work of team members to ensure that all financial statements, tax filings, and other deliverables meet the firm's standards for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- CPA designation or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Strong experience in corporate and individual tax compliance, tax planning, and audit management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
