As a security professional, you'll contribute to the safety and security of students, staff and stakeholders by enforcing provincial and municipal regulations, enforcing college policies and procedures, by monitoring CCTV systems and operating security control room equipment, controlling access to site, reporting any hazards or security breaches and responding to incidents.
At Securiguard, we love to support your career. We are currently looking for someone who is a strong leader, confident, and ready to enhance their security career. The position is for the Night Shift Supervisor with the shift being on a rotational schedule from 2000-0800.
The candidate we are looking for must have the following requirements:
- Must have over 1 year of security experience, supervisory experience is an asset
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Standard First Aid & Level C CPR with AED
- Valid Class G Driver's License with clean driving record
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfort with two-way radio communication
- Approaches a situation with a listening mindset and empathy
- Capable of standing and walking for a duration of up to 12 hours
- Ability to problem solve, and use discretion and good judgement
- Use of force training is an asset.
Duties and Responsibilities :
• Direct work assignments of other security guards on their shift at all
campuses
• Assist with staff relief and substitutions when Site Supervisor is not
available
• Assist in training of new and existing staff
• Assist the Site Supervisor in evaluating staff performance
• Keep Site Supervisor informed of staff and security related matters of
concern
• Conduct regular patrols and performs enforcement activities
• Responsible for the day to day security operation including daily audits
of all college security/safety systems (CCTV, alarm, door access, code
blue phone, lighting and AED equipment when required)
• Provides emergency first aid, CPR and AED when required
• Provides a professional and positive image for the College
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive issues
• Review and approve incidents daily in the incident management
system
• Performs other guard related duties at the discretion of the Site
Supervisor and/or Manager of Security and Parking Operations
