Our Client, a family owned company dedicated to the Fuel industry and transportation is looking for an Accountant to join the team.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with 6–7 years of experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in monthly account reconciliations, year end audits, journal entries, general ledger management, and vendor invoice processing.
Full Time, Long Term
Monday to Friday, in office
Pay Rate: $26.00/hr - $29.00/hr based on experience
Location: Toronto, On ( Close to Bloor St. and High Park)

Responsibilities
- Proficiency in accounting software like Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Sage, and advanced Excel is essential. Responsibilities
- Perform accurate monthly account reconciliations and year end audits.
- Maintain and manage the general ledger and all related account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all tax remittances (e.g., HST, payroll taxes, corporate taxes).
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and explanations.
- Process vendor invoices and ensure appropriate coding and approvals.
- Record and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, monitoring variances and providing f inancial analysis.
- Implement and maintain accounting procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws, and internal policies.
- Use accounting software (Sage 300, Dynamics 365) and Excel to generate reports and analyze financial data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 6–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real sector companies.
- Strong knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, and full-cycle accounting.
- Proficient in Sage 300 and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc.).
- Strong understanding of audit processes and experience working with auditors.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- CPA or equivalent certification is considered an asset.
