Accounting Administrative Assistant (6-month term, with potential for extension and/or permanent full-time)

As an integral part of the Manderley team, the accounting administrative assistant will provide accounting and administrative support to the finance team. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with a team of professionals and will be supported by the Accounting Manager.

What will YOU be doing as Accounting Administrative Assistant?

  • Maintain accurate financial records, entering transactions and reconciling accounts.
  • Provide accounting and administrative support to the finance department.
  • Support accounts receivable/collections through tracking credit applications; issuing reminders and statements; responding to requests for documentation and applying payments.
  • Monitoring sales orders and invoices to help resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparation and distribution of accurate daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and communicate key information.
  • Other duties as required.

What YOU bring to the table?

  • A combination of experience and/or post-secondary education in accounting and/or administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with customers, finance team, and other departments.
  • Organization and time management.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking: ability to identify gaps in information and take initiative to find answers or solutions.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Team oriented with a collaborative mindset.
  • Assets: experience with accounting applications, SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power BI, experience with remote work and collaboration tools, bilingual French and English.
