Role and Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, layout, and install ductwork for various systems on new construction projects
• Lead and mentor apprentices, ensuring they are learning industry best practices
• Follow appropriate safety practices to access installations and when using ladders, other access ways, handrails, barriers, trench supports, scaffolding and mechanical lifts (if trained/licensed)
• Follow established employment and safety policies and procedures
• Read and interpret various types of drawings including architectural, mechanical, and structural drawings to ensure all systems are installed accurately
• Follow written and verbal instructions in the workplace, on construction sites and trade school environments
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace
• Communicate and interact with others in an appropriate fashion in all environments
• Perform other duties as required

Skills and Experience

• You have the drive to lead in the new construction industry
• You have a Red Seal Sheet Metal Ticket
• You have the ability to perform repetitive work
• You are comfortable with heights and working on ladders
• You are able to lift up to 50lbs
• Work on your feet for up to 8 hours
• Ability to crouch, bend, and kneel throughout your shift
• You have the ability to work with others and independently on tasks as assigned
