Our client is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and optimize the Parts and Customs/Traffic Department while driving Supply Chain and Operations within their HVAC Products Division. This role requires a proven background in industrial operations, with experience in supply chain management and logistics highly preferred.
As part of the senior leadership team, the Director of Operations will collaborate closely with global manufacturing facilities, third-party vendors, and regional stakeholders to ensure business continuity and cost-effective product delivery. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of company-wide strategies, leveraging their expertise in supply chain and logistics operations.
Key Highlights:

• Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the President & CEO.
• Work Model: Hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
• Focus Areas: Leadership, operational efficiency, and strategic contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee supply chain and order management to ensure timely product delivery.
• Establish policies and procedures for efficient, cost-effective operations.
• Manage spare parts inventory, pricing, and logistics planning.
• Coordinate customs and logistics with suppliers, manufacturers, and shipping agents.
• Monitor operating expenses, prepare reports, and approve payments.
• Handle insurance claims and resolve logistics challenges while maintaining service quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• 7+ years of experience in electronics, customer service, and international logistics.
• Expertise in international import/export shipping and documentation.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Traffic or customs experience is an asset.

Compensation Package:

• Base Salary: $170,000 annually.
• Performance Bonus: Up to 40% of base salary
• Retirement Savings: 7% RRSP match.

• Vacation: 3 weeks annually + holiday shutdown.
• Work Environment: Hybrid model (York Region-based office).
