Director of Technology
Our client, an innovative financial technology company, is seeking a visionary Director of Technology to lead their entire tech operations. This pivotal role involves bringing outsourced development in-house, owning the complete technology roadmap, and ensuring the scalability and marketability of their core applications.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader capable of building and managing an agile engineering workforce responsible for a mobile app, backend, and web application. They must possess the aptitude to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. A strong background in AI and Machine Learning is essential to drive organizational growth and product innovation.
Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overarching technology strategy.
• Bring outsourced development operations in-house and build a high-performing agile team.
• Oversee the entire tech stack and ensure the scalability and marketability of applications.
• Drive innovation through the application of AI and Machine Learning.
• Communicate technical vision and progress to all stakeholders effectively.

High-Priority Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing a full technology stack.
• Demonstrated ability to transition and build in-house development teams.
• Expertise in Flutter, Laravel, Vue.js, and AWS infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AI and Machine Learning.
• Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical details.
• Experience in building and leading agile development teams for mobile, web, and backend applications.

Location: Markham, Hybrid (2-3 days a week from office)
