What Youll Do
Payroll Management (U.S. & Canada)
- Own full-cycle payroll for 200+ team members across multiple states and provinces
- Set the standard by developing and maintaining rock-solid payroll processes, compliance protocols, and training documentation
- Manage payroll system configurations, timesheet processing, and reporting
- Partner with HR and Finance to reconcile payroll data and support audits
- Serve as the go-to expert for all things payrollfrom wage summaries to year-end filings like W-2s, 1095s and T4s
- Build strong relationships with vendors, agencies, and internal teams to troubleshoot and streamline
Compliance & Controls
- Implement smart internal controls that keep us audit-ready and legally compliant
- Stay sharp on U.S. and Canadian regulatory changes and adjust processes as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and manage audit activities related to payroll and benefits
Benefits Administration (U.S. & Canada)
- Own the day-to-day and strategic management of employee benefit programs across North America
- Lead open enrollment, employee communications, and vendor relationships
- Answer benefit questions with clarity, empathy, and expertise
- Ensure accurate deductions and financial reconciliation with HR and Finance
What You Bring to the Table
- Deep knowledge of U.S. and Canadian payroll laws, tax filings, and benefit programs
- Experience with payroll/HRIS systems like ADP, Payworks, Dayforce, UKG, etc.
- A passion for accuracy, an eye for compliance, and a love of getting things done
- Strong communication chopsyou can explain complex topics without jargon
- A self-starter mindset, ready to thrive in a high-growth, evolving environment
Your Credentials
- Bachelors degree in HR, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on payroll and benefits experience in both U.S. and Canada
- Proven experience supporting payroll compliance and benefit administration
- Detail-oriented, organized, and fiercely committed to confidentiality and integrity
