Position: Warehouse Line Lead

Location: Mississauga, ON, Canada

Shift: Morning Afternoon Night

Position Summary

This position is primarily responsible for assisting in day-to-day supervision of products moving in and out of the warehouse, training / direction of personnel and record maintenance. Paperwork flow and accuracy is imperative to accurately control and report on all warehouse activities. Limited supervision of warehouse help to ensure safety and productivity are kept to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Duties may include the following, depending on the location of the facility and the assigned responsibility:

• Manage the day-to-day tasks of a team whether being in Receiving, Processing, Returns or Shipping.
• Determine daily operational plan, sets priorities and assigns employees as required.
• Encourage safe work practices in others, point out areas where safety training and enforcement is needed, and participate on Joint Health & Safety committee.
• Help coordinate the training process for new employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 years warehouse, order picking and/or shipping and receiving experience
• Some supervisory experience preferred

• Must have knowledge and skill using a warehouse management system
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Must be a team player with a proven track record pf being able to interact and lead all levels of associates
• Must be a resourceful self-starter with exceptional labor planning skills
• Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. whenever required.
