Our challenge

We are seeking a skilled .NET WinForms Developer with expertise in C# and the .NET Framework to design, develop, and maintain Windows Forms applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of desktop application development and be open to working with .NET Core/ASP.NET technologies when required. Experience with REST APIs is also essential to integrate various system components.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.

In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is CAD 115K - CAD 120K/year benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust Windows Forms (.NET Framework) applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Integrate WinForms applications with RESTful APIs for data exchange and functionality extension.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and testing activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Willingness to work with .NET Core and ASP.NET technologies if the project requires.
  • Maintain and enhance existing desktop applications, ensuring stability and scalability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in developing desktop applications using C# and WinForms on the .NET Framework.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience consuming and working with REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS internals and desktop application lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio, version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies as needed.
