General Manager for a leading Entertainment / Theatre company in Dubai, UAE

A leading theatre and entertainment company in the UAE, renowned for delivering world-class cultural experiences, live performances, and immersive attractions. Their diverse portfolio includes theatrical productions, art installations, interactive exhibits, and high-profile events that engage audiences from around the globe. Position Summary:

The General Manager (GM) will lead the strategic and operational management of our entertainment venue(s), ensuring excellence in programming, guest experience, and financial performance. This role demands a dynamic, results-driven leader with a proven track record in managing live entertainment, attractions, or cultural venues. The GM will oversee multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with creative, technical, and commercial departments to deliver high-quality entertainment offerings while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability. A MARKETING AND PROMOTION INSPIRED INDIVIDUAL WOULD BE DESIRED

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Operations
  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations including venue management, show production, event execution, guest services, and health & safety.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including operations, technical, front-of-house, and marketing staff.
  • Ensure seamless coordination of theatrical, entertainment, and event activities with high standards of execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic Planning & Financial Oversight
  • Develop and implement strategic operational plans aligned with the company's vision and growth objectives.
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cost-control strategies to ensure profitability and long-term sustainability.
  • Analyze financial reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to inform decision-making and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Business Development & Stakeholder Management
  • Identify opportunities for new revenue streams, sponsorships, partnerships, and strategic collaborations.
  • Serve as a key liaison with stakeholders including government bodies, sponsors, production partners, and high-profile clients.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Guest Experience & Quality Assurance
  • Drive innovation in audience engagement, visitor experiences, and service excellence.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure safety, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and respond to guest feedback to continuously improve the visitor experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive management experience in attractions, live entertainment, sports, hospitality, or museum operations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in budget development, financial strategy, and profitability management.
  • Direct experience in one or more of the following:
  • Theatre or performing arts venue management
  • Art installations or immersive exhibitions
  • Theme/amusement park entertainment
  • Large-scale event production and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Arts Management, Hospitality, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of cultural trends, audience development, and international entertainment standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
