ERP Manager – Ellucian Banner Systems

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ERP Manager with expertise in Ellucian Banner Systems to lead the planning, deployment, and maintenance of our ERP solutions. This individual will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our enterprise resource planning processes while ensuring that our technology infrastructure aligns with business objectives. The ideal candidate will excel in problem-solving, project management, and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• ERP System Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of the Ellucian Banner ERP system, from implementation and upgrades to maintenance and optimization. Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security to support organizational goals.
• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into ERP system solutions that enhance overall efficiency.
• Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical guidance on Ellucian Banner systems, including data integration, reporting tools, and workflows. Develop customizations as needed to meet evolving needs.
• Team Leadership: Manage a cross-functional team of ERP analysts, developers, and administrators while fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented environment. Conduct team training and ensure skill development.
• Project Management: Lead ERP initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and large-scale integrations. Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resources while mitigating risks and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for ERP-related inquiries and maintain strong communication with internal departments, external vendors, and consultants.
• Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure that the ERP system adheres to relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. Establish and enforce system policies, procedures, and SLAs for optimum service delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Assess current workflows and recommend improvements, leveraging the ERP system to streamline operations, reduce manual processes, and enhance productivity.
• Data Analytics and Reporting: Oversee the development of custom reporting tools using the Ellucian Banner system, ensuring stakeholders have access to actionable insights that drive informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience (5–10+ years) managing Ellucian Banner ERP systems, with demonstrated success in implementation, upgrades, and optimization projects.
• Technical Skills: Advanced expertise in Ellucian Banner modules (e.g., Finance, Student, HR), SQL scripting, Oracle database systems, and reporting tools. Familiarity with cloud-based solutions is a strong plus.
• Leadership: Strong team leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to motivate teams to exceed performance expectations.
• Project Management: Proficiency in utilizing project management frameworks and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Microsoft Project) to oversee ERP initiatives. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are advantageous.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and implement impactful solutions.
• Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with technical teams as well as non-technical stakeholders.
• Flexibility: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
