Job Title: Lead Developer – Cloud & UI Development

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – Thursdays onsite + last Friday of every month)

Type: 6-Month Contract (Multiple extension opportunities possible)

Overview:

We're seeking a Lead Developer with 10+ years of experience to contribute to an enterprise-level Client Statement Generation initiative. This project focuses on enhancing and automating the production of client statements for Fixed-Income, Balanced, and Currency accounts through the use of modern Azure-based cloud technologies and advanced UI frameworks.

Project Focus:

This initiative aims to modernize the client statement lifecycle by streamlining data ingestion, processing, and front-end generation within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead application development using C#, Azure Functions, SQL, and Entity Framework
• Develop secure, scalable front-end UIs using Angular/Typescript/Kendo UI
• Design and implement robust database schemas
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise
• Implement Azure PaaS services, including Azure SQL and App Services
• Lead technical problem-solving sessions and guide a small development team
• Ensure SSO/RBAC security using Azure Entra ID

Must-Have Skills:

• 10+ years of development experience, with strong backend and frontend expertise
• Proficiency in:
• C#, Azure Functions, SQL, Entity Framework
• Angular/Typescript/Kendo UI
• PowerShell scripting
• Experience designing relational database schemas
• CI/CD implementation with Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise
• Deep familiarity with secure deployment in highly regulated environments
• Hands-on experience configuring Azure Entra ID for secure authentication

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience generating documents (Excel, Word, PDF) using OOXML or Aspose
• Financial services industry experience
