Type: Contract - T4 & INC (6 months, possibility of extension)

Job Summary
Airswift is currently seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to support a major client in the energy sector. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong Informatica PowerCenter and Oracle PL/SQL expertise, who thrive in a fully on-premise, non-cloud environment.
The role will involve supporting new project development, ongoing operational data support, and production troubleshooting within a highly data-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Integration
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Write and optimize Oracle PL/SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Support data replication and real-time integration using tools like HVR (training available if needed).
- Perform manual data import/export, scripting, and operational support across staging environments.
Operational & Production Support
- Troubleshoot production incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
- Monitor and maintain performance of data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Ensure smooth transitions between development and production following structured release processes.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Document data workflows, maintenance tasks, and solution architecture.
- Work closely with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to meet data needs.
- Participate in an after-hours support rotation as required by the team.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3+ years of Informatica PowerCenter development experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (advanced query writing and performance tuning).
- Strong experience with manual data operations, including scripting and job orchestration.
- Familiarity with managing data in non-cloud, on-premise environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) tools such as HVR or PowerExchange.
- Exposure to SQL Server and common data file formats (CSV, XML, JSON, Excel).
- Understanding of manual deployment/versioning workflows instead of automated CI/CD tools.
- Previous experience in a DBA-style support role is a plus.
