We are now looking to expand our team! Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, hard-working and a team player. You will : greet and serve customers, receive stock, pull and prepare merchandise for delivery, and assist in keeping warehouses maintained and safe.

REPONSABILITIES

• Provides customer service for retail, contractor or professional builder customers.
• Load outgoing merchandise. Ensure that merchandise quantity and description match the invoice order.
• Unload incoming merchandise. Ensures that merchandise received matches orders and put in the designated area.
• Evaluates returned merchandise for proper disposition (resale, salvage, etc) and confirm with yard foreman.
• Maintains accurate inventory count
• Maintains a clean yard environment including warehouses, fences and open areas.
• Keep machinery clean and functional.
• Follow compliance of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Help and assist lift truck operator and drivers in the yard.
• One (1) mandatory Saturday every year for inventory (Last weekend of July before Civic Holiday weekend).
  

EDUCATION

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

EXPERIENCE

• Good interpersonal, communication and Customer Service Skills
• 2 years in a customer service facing role.
• Previous heavy lifting is a definite asset.
  
• Good reading, writing and mathematical skills
• Familiarity with industrial workplace and machinery
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment as prescribed in designated areas
  
• 2 years with a Counterbalance lift truck is an asset
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Strength (lift, carry, push and pull): Maximum lift, 100 lbs.; Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, with manual dexterity and see acute depth perception and field of vision.
• Trunk rotation with 20 lbs. at arms length 180 degrees from side to side.
• Bend, stoop or squat to floor level on a repetitive basis.
• Reach over head to grasp materials.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work outside in temperatures ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold.
