Summary: The purpose of this role is to provide and advocate best practice commercial credit management solutions. You will lead SilverChef/EconoLease North American credit function, which is responsible for ensuring the organization is operating within its risk parameters and appetite. The Credit Manager is responsible for establishing and overseeing the operational and strategic objectives of the Credit Department. They ensure responsible lending by making wise credit decisions that adhere to the Company's credit and risk policies. The Credit Manager conducts thorough assessments of lease applications and either grants credit approvals within authorized limits or escalates decisions to higher management. Collaborating with the VP of Credit & Risk and other team members, the Credit Manager ensures that documentation processes are current and provide adequate protection for the company. This role reports to the Vice President Risk and Credit – North America. Key Responsibilities: * Partnering with Sales leaders to analyze and assess large exposure applications and provide recommendations that is in the best interest of SilverChef/EconoLease and the applicants. * Owning and strengthening the credit approval and analysis process to ensure thorough evaluation of all applications. * Achieve the desired risk outcomes in accordance with legislation, industry best practice and the Company's stated risk appetite. * Accountable for strategy to uplift the risk and credit knowledge and capability across the wider organization. * Contributing to projects as required by the business. * You will create a strong control environment and a culture that is forward-looking and both risk and customer-focused. * Risks, both emerging and actual, will be identified, monitored and remediated to ensure overall credit risk is managed within the organization's risk appetite. * Trends and patterns in risk that may threaten the organizations financial position will be monitored to ensure that quick and effective mitigation strategies are implemented to reduce overall risk. * Credit policies, frameworks and procedures are operating to maximize sales opportunities and ensure we operate within our Risk Appetite. Qualifications/Experience: * 7+ years' experience in financial services with exposure to commercial credit and risk management. * Experience in leading a Commercial Credit Team and/or risk team within financial services will be well regarded. * Expert understanding of credit analysis and policies as well as risk management principles and regulatory requirements. * High understanding of the indicators of financial distress, potential loss and fraud. * Significant Financial statement analysis experience. * Highly effective influencing, conflict resolution and relationship management skills. * High level of analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make meaningful recommendations to improve credit risk outcomes for the organization. * Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Other Requirements: * Attention to Detail: Ability to review applications and credit reports with precision and accuracy is essential. * Analytical Skills: Proficiency in assessing credit and financial information, conducting evaluations, and making informed credit recommendations and decisions * Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed to interact with internal teams * Organizational Skills: Being able to manage, delegate and prioritize tasks effectively * Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to resolve issues, troubleshoot errors, and make sound decisions. * Time Management Skills: Capable of performing well under pressure to meet continuous and overlapping deadlines within tight timeframes. * People Management Skills: Effectively leading, motivating, and supporting a team.
