Job Description

Position: Sales Representative – Mechanical Parts

Location: St. John's, Newfoundland region and surrounding

Salary: $60K base salary per year plus uncapped commission ($100K+ package)

Perks: Medical and dental benefits; RRSP pension plan

Job Type: Permanent

A well-established distributor of mechanical parts is seeking a Sales Representative.

In this role, you will be covering the St. John's, Newfoundland region and surrounding in a B2B role targeting manufacturing clients to develop business for product sales.

This role is working with various leads provided to identify business prospects and develop business. It involves engaging with business prospects which include brand new clients, bringing back former clients and increasing product offerings with existing clients. The approach is consultative and to provide real solutions to everyday equipment problems which enable manufacturing companies and operations facilities to maintain and increase day-to-day productivity.

Responsibilities:

- Selling mechanical products within the St. John's, Newfoundland region and surrounding

- Building a marketing and business strategy for product at the point of sale with a focus on new business development in the assigned area

- Supporting all product selling activity in the assigned area to include calling on existing and new accounts

- Penetrating new accounts based on programs and leads to increase market share

- Participating in trade shows

- Keeping sales calendar up to date to show quoting and selling activities

- Employing CRM data to manage territory business strategies including but not limited to pipeline management for accurate forecasting

- Participating consistently and effectively in sales initiatives and programs

Requirements:

- At least two years of experience in outside sales of a technical product or service or two years of experience in selling to manufacturing plants

- Strong communication skills

- Entrepreneurship, autonomy, ability to generate leads and manage sales and reporting

- Bachelor's degree or DEC in a technical field – an asset
